In 2020, WorldSteel Group will continue to implement a large-scale project, the Binh Phuoc GPPD factory. This is the first green technology factory in Binh Phuoc.

GPPD factory is the first green technology project in Binh Phuoc province, the factory is located in Becamex Industrial Park – Binh Phuoc, Minh Thanh Commune, Chon Thanh District with an area of over 30,000m2. The project was invested to install 5 alkali-zinc battery production lines. Total capacity of the factory is 936 million products / year; in which, phase 1 is 336 million products / year and phase 2 is 600 million products / year. Main products are mercury-free alkaline manganese batteries and mercury-free accessories.

GPPD is the first green technology factory of Binh Phuoc and also the first factory in Binh Phuoc to apply the IAS AC472 standard, a leading US quality standard implemented by WorldSteel Group. Steel structural products are tested and evaluated according to the IAS AC472 quality standard. During the implementation process, WorldSteel Group has always received positive reviews from the investor, which is a great motivation for us to continue to complete the project according to the set schedule.
